چکیده
Background: Antiseptic products that are widely found in the market contain chloroxylenol which can cause irritation and allergic reactions when used frequently. In addition, antiseptic liquid form considered less practical economical. The alternative to overcome these problems is utilize natural ingredients made solid dosage forms of effervescent tablets. One plant has potential as an papaya leaves. Objective: To determine effect variations citric acid tartaric a source formulation tablets find out what formula tablet leaf ethanol extract best physical properties meet qualification requirements tablet. Methods: Extraction was carried by maceration method with 96% solvent. for manufacture wet granulation. Therefore, this study, observations were on (1:3; 1:1 3:1) quality antibacterial activity Result: formulations F1 variation acid-tartaric (1:3) showed characteristics met requirements. Based test Escherichia coli tablets, (Carica L.) I inhibitory power 7,5±1,29 mm. more effective than positive control, namely inhibition zone 6,5 ± 0,05 Conclusion: used, it did not affect including uniformity weight, but influenced hardness, friability, dissolving time L.).
